shuttle service:

The Technion, in collaboration with TSA, operates a complimentary shuttle service across campus, for the welfare of the students and staff. In the event of any fault of the internal shuttles, please report this to the Interior Affairs Coordinator of the Student Association.


As of 03.11.2022:
Cross-Campus Shuttle:
07:45-12:00 – Departure from Cable Car Station -> Bus Stops on the Main Campus Ring Road -> Nesher Gate -> Bus Stops on the Main Campus Ring Road -> Neve Sha’anan Gate (Neve America Dormitories Bus Stop) -> Bus Stops on the Main Campus Ring Road -> Cable Car Station.
Shuttles will depart approximately every 15 minutes from the Cable Car Station.
At the Cable Car Station and Nesher Gate, the shuttle will stop at the dedicated sign.

Graduate Village Shuttle:
Morning – 07:40-09:10, departures every 20 minutes from the village:
Village -> Kindergarten -> Bus Stops on the Main Campus Ring Road -> Village
Afternoon – 15:00-18:40, departures every 20 minutes from the village:
Village Bus Stops on the Main Campus Ring Road -> Kindergarten -> Village
The final shuttle departures (09:10 and 18:40 from the village) do not return to the village.

 

Parking on campus

New service for students! Issue a parking label online

In order to avoid waiting in line, you are invited to fill in the letter of commitment in the security unit's website (accompanied by the relevant documents) and the label will be waiting for you at the labels office.

Parking on campus is allowed for cars with a parking permit or for guests who issued a vehicle entrance permit. Parking is permitted in different areas of the Technion depending on the type of permit. Students are entitled to various permits according to various criteria, including: dormitory residents, people with disabilities, and postgraduate students. TSA employees and members of the faculties' academic committees are also entitled to parking permits. For more information, please contact the Audit Committee by email bikoret@asat.technion.ac.il.

Parking in Haifa 

Students in Haifa are entitled to a "free parking" label that allows them to park at no charge at all the blue and white marked parking spaces throughout the city of Haifa. Conditions of entitlement:

  • A car owned by the student or by their parents (a declaration signed by an attorney must be provided that the student is the one who uses the vehicle).
  • For a leased vehicle - a statement signed by the company that the student is the one who uses the vehicle.
  • The updated residential address in the Ministry of Interior is in the city of Haifa (the Technion dormitories are considered Haifa in this context).
  • Studies in an institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education for a bachelor's / master's degree / doctorate (preparatory students are not eligible). 

 

The required documents:

  • Application Form (open with Explorer only)
  • Photocopy of the vehicle license owned by the student
  • Photocopy of your driver's license
  • Photocopy of your ID (with your address listed in Haifa)
  • Certificate from the Technion (that you are a student)

*If the vehicle is registered to the name of one of the parents, a declaration signed by an attorney is required that the vehicle is in the student's possession for the duration of the studies + photocopy of the ID of the parent registered in the vehicle license.

Transportation in Haifa - benefits and rates for students 

Student 50% -

Provides a 50% discount on all types of tickets. Free periodic purchase (annual / semester). Additional information can be found on Egged website.

Student 30% -

Provides a 33% discount on most types of tickets. You must have a student profile on your Rav-Kav (you can update it in the Rav-Kav offices at Hof Hacarmel station). Additional information can be found on Egged website.

Transfer Tickets -

Allows free passage between lines for 90 minutes (inside Haifa). Valid when buying a regular card or using "Rav Kav".

Continue Card -

Allows integrated travel on an urban and interurban line for interurban fare only. Can be used on the same day only. Continue Card can be purchased on the bus but is dependent on the passage at the Hof Hacarmel station or Lev Hamifratz only. 

Railway -

Student discount is only available when purchasing a round trip ticket. Additional information can be found on Israel Railway website.
