The Technion Student Association, R.A. no. 580015089, respects the privacy of users of the website and acts to protect information provided to it or collected by it in connection with the use of the website, digital services, forms, information pages, and systems linked to it.
This Privacy Policy is intended to explain what information may be collected when using the website, how we use it, to whom it may be disclosed, and what rights users have in relation to such information.

When using the website and the services linked to it, ASAT may collect information provided voluntarily by users, including when contacting ASAT, subscribing to a newsletter, completing forms, submitting applications for tenders, applying for positions within the Association, registering for services, participating in activities, using Association services, or contacting one of the Association offices.
Such information may include, among other things: full name, phone number, email address, faculty or academic affiliation, year of study, CV/resume, prior experience, areas of interest, attached documents, details relating to an application or inquiry, answers to questions in forms, and any additional information provided voluntarily by the user.
In addition, when browsing the website, technical and usage information may be collected, such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, browsing times, referral source, and additional statistical data.
This information is used, among other things, for the proper operation of the website, website security, improvement of the user experience, usage analysis, and improvement of ASAT’s digital services.
It is clarified that in some cases, forms and services on the website may be operated through external systems, such as Google Forms, registration systems, application management systems, document submission systems, payment systems, or other digital tools. Submission of information through such systems is also subject to the privacy policies and terms of use of those systems, where applicable.
The information collected may be used by ASAT for the following purposes:
Responding to inquiries from students and other users; managing Association services; handling inquiries through Association offices; managing tender processes, calls for applications, recruitment, screening, and selection of candidates for positions within the Association; contacting candidates; assessing suitability for positions, committees, activities, or services; maintaining required administrative records; providing information about services, rights, benefits, activities, tenders, events, and publications; sending updates and newsletters; improving the website and digital services; analyzing website usage data; securing the website and preventing misuse; and complying with legal requirements, procedures, audits, regulations, or instructions of a competent authority.
Through the website or systems linked to it, ASAT may publish tenders, calls for applications, recruitment processes, interview registration forms, or applications for various positions within the Association.
As part of such processes, users may be asked to provide personal and professional information, including contact details, study details, prior experience, CV/resume, supporting documents, availability, answers to professional or personal questions related to suitability for the position, and any additional information relevant to the process.
Information submitted as part of an application will be used for managing the screening process, assessing suitability, contacting the candidate, conducting interviews, making decisions, documentation, and internal review. The information may be disclosed to ASAT officers, committee members, relevant managers, professional advisers, or other parties involved in the process, solely as required for that purpose.
ASAT will retain such information for the period necessary to manage the process, make decisions, maintain administrative documentation, address claims or disputes, and comply with legal requirements or internal procedures. Thereafter, the information will be deleted or retained according to need and applicable law.
ASAT will not transfer personal information to third parties except where required or permitted by law, or where necessary for providing services on the website and within the Association’s activities.
Information may be disclosed, as needed, to parties such as website hosting and maintenance providers, external form system providers, mailing system providers, inquiry management systems, application management systems, digital service providers, payment or ordering providers, information security providers, professional advisers, relevant ASAT committee members, Association officers, service providers acting on behalf of ASAT, or competent authorities under applicable law.
In cases of applications for tenders, positions, or committees within the Association, information may be disclosed to the parties relevant to the review, screening, interview, decision-making, and audit process, solely for the purpose of managing the process and on a need-to-know basis.
In addition, the website may include links and referrals to external websites, services, and systems. ASAT is not responsible for the privacy policies, information security, content, or operation of such external websites and services, and their use is subject to the privacy policies and terms of use of those parties.
The ASAT website may include links, referrals, or buttons leading to external websites, services, systems, and forms that are not operated or managed by ASAT, including registration websites, payment systems, external forms, supplier websites, partner websites, social networks, benefit websites, event websites, application submission systems, ordering systems, or any other digital service.
It is clarified that accessing an external website or using an external service is done at the sole responsibility of the user. Such external websites and services may collect personal information, use Cookies, operate measurement or advertising tools, and process information according to their own privacy policies and terms of use.
ASAT is not responsible for the privacy policies, terms of use, information security, content, reliability, availability, operation, or use of information by such external websites, services, or systems.
However, where information submitted through an external system is transferred to ASAT or used by ASAT for providing a service, handling an inquiry, registration, application submission, or another Association activity, ASAT’s use of such information will be carried out in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Users are advised to review the privacy policy and terms of use of each external website or service before submitting personal information through it.
The website may allow users to subscribe to newsletters or receive updates from ASAT. Registration for mailing will be carried out in accordance with applicable law.
If you subscribe to receive updates, ASAT may send you information about services, rights, activities, benefits, events, important notices, and updates relevant to students and Association members.
You may unsubscribe from mailing at any time by using an unsubscribe link, where available, or by contacting ASAT using the contact details below.

Furthermore, no information system is completely secure, and ASAT cannot guarantee full immunity from unauthorized access, malfunction, disruption, or unauthorized use.
In accordance with applicable law, users may contact ASAT to request access to personal information retained about them, and to request correction or deletion of such information, where required and permitted by law.

Where information is required for compliance with a legal obligation, management of the Association’s activities, protection of ASAT’s rights, or handling an existing inquiry, it may not be possible to delete the information in full, all in accordance with applicable law.
Some of the services on the website and within ASAT’s activities are intended for Technion students, Association members, faculty committees, officers, activity participants, service registrants, or users contacting the Association on various matters.
As part of handling inquiries or providing services, information relating to academic status, faculty affiliation, contact details, description of an inquiry, or supporting documents may be required. Such information will be used for the purpose of handling the request only, unless other consent has been given or another legal basis applies.
The website and ASAT’s services are intended primarily for students, graduates, Technion employees, suppliers, partners, and other relevant parties.
Where information is submitted by a minor, it should be done with the consent of a parent or legal guardian where required by law.
If ASAT becomes aware that information has been collected from a minor unlawfully, you may contact ASAT to review the matter.
ASAT may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, according to changes in the website, services, Association activities, legal requirements, or organizational needs.
