Entrance at the Technion gates
What's it regarding?
The entry system to Technion has been upgraded to automatic gates. The gates operate using RFID Technology.
In order to enter through the gate - you must hold your card up to the card reader, and then pass.
My card has two strips
Students with cards with two magnetic strips are requested to order one through the student card system, underneath the heading "change of details", and to give their old card to the secretary of the student's association.
A new card will not be issued until the old card has been handed in!
There is no possibility of getting a new card for free without exchanging it for a two-strip card.
I have a card with one strip, but the gate still doesn't work!
If the card reader flashes red - please email the Student Cards Coordinator on:
cards@asat.technion.ac.il with the following details:
1. A clear photo of your student card
2. Location and hour you tried
If the card reader doesn't react at all - submit the card to the secretary of the student association/book store.
