Academic Committee

The TSA Academic Committee works to promote and protect the academic rights of students at the Technion, as well as students of the pre-academic preparatory program and the practical engineering school.

The committee's areas of activity include academic rights and obligations, the rights of students serving in reserve duty, the representation of students in disciplinary proceedings, and accompanying students in an unsatisfactory academic status.

The committee's chairmanship deals with cross-cutting issues with the Technion administration. The committee consists of coordinators dealing with general issues with the various institutions, and Faculty Coordinators that represent the students in conjunction with the faculty members.

How to deal with academic issues:

1. General issue concerning an academic course:

In the case of a general matter relevant to a specific course, the course staff should be approached in an orderly manner through the Semester Representative, who is proficient in regulations and experienced in such requests, in order to prevent excessive calls and confusion. If necessary, and in case that a satisfactory solution is not provided, the representative shall approach the relevant Academic Coordinator and even the relevant Academic Committee member in order to try to obtain a satisfactory solution.

2. Private issues:

In the case of a private issue, the student should approach the staff members in a polite and dignified manner in order to resolve it. If necessary, the student may consult with the Semester Representative, the Academic Coordinator or the relevant committee member.

Student Assistance Department

Helps students through a variety of courses, booklets, exercise classes in preparation for exams, and tutoring.
