The TSA social office coordinates social activities on behalf of the student association on campus and outside of it. The office coordinates the Volunteering Program and the "Melech" Project (computers for everyone) and works to increase the awareness and importance of contributing to the community in various ways.
The office coordinates all aspects of environment and recycling on campus and promotes awareness of the preservation of the environment and the various activities in the field.

The Volunteering Project

The main volunteering project through which TSA encourages social involvement among students is the "Volunteering = Eligibility" project, which is held in partnership with the Office of the Dean of Students.

The project connects students who wish to contribute to the community with various associations that need their help. The importance of the project is both in the contribution to the community and in the added value that the students receive as a result of volunteering.

As a token of appreciation, the participants in the project are entitled to an academic credit point (for students who participate for a total of 28 hours during the semester).

To join the project, you can contact the volunteer coordinator: volunteers@asat.technion.ac.il

The "Melech" Project

The Melech Project (Computers for Everyone) is a project aimed at collecting and repairing computers and peripheral equipment, and giving them to people in need.
The project has been running for a few years and by now has contributed dozens of computers to students, as well as to youth at risk, to needy families and to community centers that work with the weaker sectors of the population.

The "Perach" Project

Perach is a mentoring project that brings together students and pupils from a variety of populations.
Perach gives the opportunity to be a role model for a child and to help them in the scholastic, social and emotional fields and realize their potential.

Accessibility on campus

The Technion is the leading academic institution in making the campus accessible to all students. A student with a disability or physical impairment is entitled to access to all of his or her classes and their way there.

This includes saving the front seats in each classroom for disabled students, elevators for easy access to the faculty and all its services, FM headphones for hearing impaired students, and access to all parts of the campus in level elevators or convenient ramps.
In order to promote the subject of accessibility on campus, an accessibility coordinator was appointed by the Technion, as well as an accessibility forum for students with disabilities and TSA representatives.

For more information, visit the Technion's accessibility site.
